We’ve got a bright group of talented people here at Entuitive. They’re engaged and excited about the work they do and we want to keep it that way. We also want to take an active role in helping our team develop their careers. Our staff are encouraged to pursue professional development opportunities, no matter that their area of focus is in this multidisciplinary group we have. We know that professional development opportunities enable staff to adapt to the constantly evolving industry in which we work while they fine tune their skills. New learning opportunities may take many forms, from formal education and courses, to informal mentorship programs, but the result is always a new idea, perspective or way to improve.
Providing opportunities for skill development is key to our long-term success. We know that our clients choose to work with us because our competency extends beyond the base level required. They enjoy working with us because we are at the forefront of what we do. We stay at the forefront by constantly building on our knowledge base and skillset to be truly advanced.
“Train people well enough so they can leave, treat them well enough so they don’t want to”
– Richard Branson
By ensuring our staff receive the best training and professional development opportunities available, we are ensuring our clients receive excellent service.
On top of the trends
As a project-oriented firm, delivering work on time and on budget while juggling the unique complexities of each project demands a particular skillset. Helping our team stay on top of the latest trends in Project Management, we hosted a customized Project Management program for selected staff this past spring.
Team members who manage projects as part of their daily commitments were invited to Toronto for some extra credit work. The course was delivered by a Project Management Professional (PMP) with over 20 years of experience managing projects in the design and construction industry. Thirty Entuitive team members participated, including several who travelled from Calgary, Edmonton and Lethbridge.
During the course, the team evolved their skills in controlling budgets and schedules; managing quality and risk; staying on top of scope; leading project teams and maintaining good relationships with clients; and how to pull a project back on track if something goes awry. Staff found the two day sessions highly valuable with many working to implement new methods the following day.
What are you waiting for?
