Our designs contribute to the audience’s enjoyment while addressing the unique structural challenges of cultural venues.
As iconic buildings in the community, cultural and performing arts centres are designed to inspire awe inside and out. Each venue is an original creation and we bring our innovative design and structural solutions to support the architect’s unique vision.
Our experience includes structural engineering, building envelope services and restoration in a wide range of award-winning buildings, from theatres, opera houses and ballet schools, to concert halls, art galleries, libraries and an aquarium.
We understand that collaboration is key. Our ingenuity and expertise help architects, designers and subcontractors to achieve qualities such as optimum acoustics in a concert hall, uninterrupted views, floor to ceiling glass in a gallery, vast column-free spaces in a lobby, and flexibility to form various configurations in a performing arts centre.
In many cases, it is our work that is showcased – the refined and aesthetically exposed structure called for by the architect, a tunnel that takes patrons to an adjoining building, or a structural glass stair that’s on display.
