Building Information Modelling (BIM)


A commitment to leading-edge technology is one of the core principles upon which Entuitive was founded. As such, we make extensive use of BIM software in all projects. By using BIM to its fullest, we are able to maximize efficiency, lower risk and provide more value to clients.

We use Rhino and Grasshopper to rationalize complex geometry, analysis packages such as SAP2000 and Ram Steel to optimize steel framing schemes, and finite element software such as SAFE and ETABS for efficient concrete analysis and design. We have integrated these technologies in-house, in a unique engineering framework, which enables rapid study of multiple structural options and solutions to improve structural efficiencies.

We develop BIM models with leading-edge intelligence and information, including material quantities, concrete properties, and related quantitative data that provide contractors with valuable information for estimating, coordination, and scheduling.

To ensure a smooth and collaborative team dynamic, we drive project efficiency with our digital capacities. Built on our fluency in two key BIM platforms in the industry, Revit and Tekla, we have developed routines to translate information between them to facilitate easy coordination of details and communications across the team. This allows us to work in Revit, which is favoured by the architectural community, and translate our models into Tekla, which is used by the structural steel industry in their shop drawings and fabrication process. This capability adds value for our clients, allowing us to provide Tekla and/or Revit models for the construction process. The result is better-coordinated designs, fewer contractor Requests for Information, expedited production of shop drawing and fabrication, and therefore reduced construction schedules. It also reduces the risk of unforeseen conflicts on site.
