This four-storey mixed-use building in Camberwell, sout east London was left derelict and had been used as a dumping site for over 35 years. The vision of the client and the architect was to refurbish the entire building and add a double-height rear extension to the first floor whilst being sympathetic to the building’s original character.
The basement and ground floor were converted into a café and bar, with the upper floors being used as a residence.
The project was completed in late 2012.
