The building is the first use of self-supporting, structural translucent concrete and five pre-cast panels form the floor, walls and roof. This material allows the colours, shapes and shadows of the garden to be perceived from the interior of the pavilion.
Commissioned for a Zurich townhouse, the smoking pavilion allows the owners to admire the garden whilst enjoying a postprandial puff without affecting other residents.
