Consortium Selected to Build the New Saskatchewan Hospital North Battleford
The Government of Saskatchewan announced that Access Prairies Partnership has been selected as the preferred proponent to build the new Saskatchewan Hospital North Battleford – a new 188-bed psychiatric facility that will replace an existing facility and will also include an integrated 96-room correctional centre that will provide support for offenders living with mental health issues. It will be an innovative approach to delivering mental health care and supporting clients with significant psychiatric rehabilitation needs. The project is being delivered as a design-build-finance-maintain public-private-partnership. The facility is expected to open in 2018.
“We’re excited to be part of the team delivering this new and modern healthcare facility to provide for patients’ mental health needs,” said Brock Schroeder, Managing Director of Entuitive.
The Access Prairies Partnership consortium is comprised of Graham Design Builders LP, Carillion Canada Inc., Gracorp Capital Advisors LP, Carillion Private Finance Ltd, Kasian Architecture Interior Design and Planning Ltd., WSP Canada and Entuitive. We are excited to be an integral part of the design team as the structural engineering consultant on this project.
The North Battleford Hospital is yet another large healthcare P3 project Entuitive is involved in. We are currently providing structural engineering and building envelope consulting services for the Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness in Brampton, Ontario. It’s also our fifth project in the Province of Saskatchewan – adding to the Children’s Hospital of Saskatchewan, Remai Modern Art Gallery of Saskatchewan, Swift Current Long-term Care Facility and the New Schools (18 elementary schools) P3 project (compliance).
