On April 3, Entuitive welcomed two new Associate-level leaders to its leadership team, bolstering its Sustainable Performance and Building Envelope Services practices with the addition of Samantha Lane, Sustainable Performance Lead based in Calgary, and Bereket Alazar, Senior Building Envelope Specialist based in Edmonton.

With a broad footprint of projects and key partner relationships to their names, the addition of Samantha and Bereket will help bolster Entuitive’s well-established Sustainable Performance and Building Envelope Services practices, strengthening our sustainable design expertise and drawing from shared experiences delivering technical excellence.

Samantha Lane, Associate & Sustainable Performance Lead

Samantha Lane joins Entuitive after holding several Building Performance leadership roles, most recently at Stantec. Her specialties include Energy Modelling, Sustainable Policy, NECB, Passive House, Renewable Energy, Building Envelope, Life Cycle Analysis, Building Science, Alternative Financing and Procurement, Risk Analysis, Management and Mitigation, P3 projects, LEED New Construction, and LEED Operations and Maintenance.

Samantha steps in as a respected, experienced, and proven leader of the Sustainable Performance team, supporting Entuitive’s ongoing efforts to weave sustainable design thinking through all its services. Supporting a wide range of skills within the Sustainable Performance team, including energy modeling, green buildings, and reducing embodied carbon and carbon emissions, Samantha’s team is also building on these service offerings to include master planning and Deep Energy Retrofit (DER) mandates.

Bereket Alazar, Associate & Building Envelope Specialist

With 15 years of professional building science consulting experience, Bereket joins Entuitive from Morrison Hershfield where he specialized in the diagnostic analysis of building envelope issues and targeting envelope assessments for existing buildings. Having successfully delivered Building Envelope Commissioning Services for various LEED and non-LEED projects, Bereket joins Entuitive’s Building Envelope team where he will provide design assistance and industry insight based on construction level guidance across his projects.

As a member of the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC), Alberta Building Envelope (ABEC) North, and serving on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Condominium Institute (CCI) North Alberta, Bereket is well-positioned to support the growth of Entuitive’s Building Envelope Services offering in Alberta.
