RED DEER, AB

This project was a new two-storey, 3,470m² middle school in Red Deer, Alberta.

The innovative geometry, unique to Alberta, allows for abundant natural daylight and open, interactive learning spaces in a healthy, comfortable indoor environment.

Electric vehicle parking, stormwater attenuation, and a waterwise landscape, completes the sustainably designed site.

The project resulted in 75% energy savings, 35% water savings, 80% recycling savings, and used 85% green materials.

Westpark demonstrates a high-performing design and construction program, with efficient systems and environmentally preferred materials. The facility provides space for 500 students, and community groups can use the building after hours.
