Moving the Needle on Inclusion, Diversity, and Belonging

At Entuitive, we believe that bringing together people of different genders, backgrounds, ethnicities, orientations, and mindsets is a proven driver of engagement, critical thinking, and innovation.
This year, we took a large step in moving the needle forward by formally launching our Inclusion, Diversity and Belonging Strategy.
This article breaks down our vision for the future, the actions and results we’ve seen to-date, and how our people continue to learn and grow.
Building Toward 2030: Our IDB Vision and Mission
By 2030, Entuitive will reflect the diversity of the societies in which we live and work. Our firm will be a place where everyone can bring their whole selves to work and feel included and valued for their contribution to our success.
Our mission is to achieve a welcoming and inclusive place for people of different genders, orientations, ethnicities, ages and abilities, and skills through the company, from entry level positions to our leadership and ownership groups.
We have built our strategy in alignment with our purpose. We will create a workforce representative of the regions where we live and work, we will enable an inclusive culture, and we will be a leader in our community and industry.
Our Actions To-Date
Talent Acquisition Processes
In creating a diverse workforce, we are working to update some of our Talent Acquisition processes so that we are presenting a diverse candidate pool to our hiring teams.
External Partnerships
To support our inclusive culture, we are a proud supporter of Catalyst, a global non-profit working with some of the world’s most powerful CEOs and leading companies to build workplaces that work for women. We are among 429 Top Canadian, US and European companies supporting the research and learning offered through Catalyst including APEGA, City of Calgary, and many others.
We have also partnered with Catalyst to offer several learning opportunities to our shareholders on Unconscious Bias to Inclusive Leadership and Inclusive Communications.
Employee Engagement Survey
We incorporated questions on Inclusion and Belonging to gain insights from our people in our recent Employee Engagement survey:
- I feel like I belong at Entuitive: 73.7% Favourable*
- When I speak up at work, my opinion is valued: 79.7% Favourable
- I feel like my team members understand who I really am: 71.6% Favourable
- I can voice a contrary opinion without fear of negative consequences: 75.4% Favourable
*Favourable is a Top Box measurement employees answers “agree or strongly agree to this question” are combined.
These results tell us that we are well on our way to creating the employee experience we desire and truly living into our purpose.
Meet Our Employee Resource Group Pillars
To further support building our inclusive culture, this year, we launched four pillars aka employee resource groups (ERGs). The four pillars are ENable, ENPride, Gender Balance, and Multicultural and Indigenous (MC&I). We asked each of the leaders from our pillars to share their vision, successes and hopes for our future. Click on each email to scroll through and learn more.
Learning and Growing
We believe we are on the right path but our journey is just beginning. We are living into our growth mindset with passion and purpose, the Entuitive way.
We are so proud of our people and our leaders for coming together and helping to move the needle.
As we continue to work toward being better tomorrow than we are today, we want to state that are learning and we are defining who we are and where we stand.
We will continue to work to deepen our knowledge and establish measurable targets to advance towards greater inclusion, diversity, and belonging at Entuitive.
Taking a Stand
Entuitive stands with all groups experiencing hardship, exclusion, suffering, trauma, and hate. We are working to do what we can within our sphere of influence to make things better for these groups and we commit to continuing to do so.
