Challenge
Provide an economical temporary shoring system that supports the excavation on each side of the development as the neighbouring properties did not allow for tiebacks.
Solution
A permanent concrete grade beam at the ground floor was designed to provide temporary support to the top of the shoring wall with the requirement for additional temporary support steel.
